Jay Jordan founded Pegasus Ops after nearly three decades spent working in environments where trust, judgement and preparation mattered.
Joining the British Army at the age of sixteen, Jay’s career has taken him through military service, international security operations, private investigations, family protection and complex assignments across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Throughout that journey, he has worked alongside families, private clients, organisations and individuals facing situations where the stakes were often deeply personal and the consequences of getting it wrong were significant.
Over the course of nearly three decades, Jay has supported clients through a wide range of sensitive and high-consequence situations, including family protection, private investigations, kidnap and ransom matters, anti-trafficking initiatives and the recovery of abducted or unlawfully retained children across international borders. These experiences required not only operational capability, but also discretion, trust, diplomacy and the ability to navigate complex situations involving families, authorities and multiple jurisdictions.
Those experiences shaped the philosophy that would eventually become Pegasus Ops.
Throughout his career, Jay has learned that the most effective solutions rarely begin with assumptions. They begin with understanding. Understanding people, understanding circumstances and understanding what truly matters to those involved. Whether supporting a family, advising a private client or managing a complex operational challenge, he believes meaningful support can only be built on a clear understanding of the environment, priorities and realities surrounding each situation.
This belief became the foundation upon which Pegasus Ops was built.
Today, Jay remains actively involved in both the strategic and operational aspects of the company. From initial consultations and risk mitigation reviews through to planning, investigations and operational support, he continues to work closely with our clients, ensuring every engagement benefits from the same judgement, professionalism and attention to detail that have shaped the company’s reputation.
Under Jay’s leadership, Pegasus Ops has earned a global reputation for discretion, professionalism and the ability to navigate complex situations with clarity, confidence and sound judgement. The company supports private clients, families, executives, family offices, businesses and organisations seeking a more considered approach to risk mitigation, protective support and operational preparedness.
Beyond his commercial work, Jay remains deeply committed to initiatives focused on safeguarding vulnerable individuals and disrupting human trafficking networks.
This commitment led to the creation of the Artemis Initiative, a long-term intelligence-led programme dedicated to identifying, understanding and disrupting trafficking activity at its source. Combining physical and digital intelligence capabilities, the initiative is designed to move beyond reactive intervention and contribute towards preventing exploitation before it occurs.
For Jay, the initiative reflects a belief that experience, intelligence and operational capability should not only be used to protect individual clients, but also to confront some of the wider challenges affecting vulnerable people around the world.
While Pegasus Ops focuses on supporting private clients, families and organisations, the long-term vision is that its success will help strengthen and expand the capabilities of the Artemis Initiative, creating greater opportunities to disrupt trafficking networks and protect those most at risk.
